Happy Labor Day!

Labor Day is Monday, September 3rd this year and so we thought you might enjoy looking some historic photographs of typical outdoor Labor Day activities: fishing, camping, and picnicking.  Have a safe and happy holiday weekend, wherever you are and however you choose to celebrate!

It was quite a catch for this group! Roy Hook Ranch Photographs and Negatives, Accession Number 9986, Box 1, Folder 6, “Big Muddy Wyo Ranch Scenes 1902-1913”.

A prime campsite right next to the Firehole River in Yellowstone National Park. Samuel H. Knight Collection, Accession Number 400044, Box 103.

No need to be embarrassed–this looks like an excellent picnic spread! Real silverware, too! James K. Moore Family Papers, Accession Number 51, Box 20, 0429.

Enjoy the holiday!

Wow…those are some great photos. I enjoy real estate here is the lowcountry of SC and really like collecting old black and white photos of downtown Beaufort and the surrounding islands. Boy the camping gear sure has improved!
